It was a tough call, but these judges managed to select the finalists for the "Best of" Project Twenty1, based on the overall quality of the films, entertainment value, creativity, and adherence to the Project Twenty1 guidelines. Jeffrey Erb

Jeffrey D. Erb is a film producer and President of Kindred Media Group, a film distribution company. As of 2006, he has been involved in the production of four films, including "One Part Sugar", "Southern Gothic", "Tooth and Nail", and "Superheroes". As President of Kindred Media Group, he has overseen the release of a number of films, including "Game 6" starring Michael Keaton and Robert Downey, Jr. and "Jailbait" starring Michael Pitt.

Karl Staven

Karl Staven has been making animated films for more than 20 years in a variety of styles. Currently he is the Chair of the Media Arts Department (Photo/Film/Animation) at the University of the Arts in downtown Philadelphia.

Lucia Cipparone

Lucia Cipparone wanted to be a rock star, but settled for playing her Les Paul in an empty arena during a slow day at work - work being Comcast-Spectacor, located in the Wachovia Center. Shortly after graduating from Temple University’s School of Communications in 2003, Lucia was hired by Comcast-Spectacor as a Producer/Director/Editor for live events, video, and commercial production. Her client list includes the Philadelphia Phantoms, Philadelphia Wings, Philadelphia Soul, and the Philadelphia 76ers.

Sean McBride

Sean McBride has worked on animated series for Nickelodeon, Disney and Cartoon Network, as well as having produced the acclaimed web series "Tony Cartoons." He has won many awards for his writing and animation, including a Student Academy Award for his short "That Special Monkey" (2000). Sean studied animation in Philadelphia at The University of the Arts and currently works at a studio in New York.

Signe Baumane

Signe Baumane was born in Latvia, and received her BA in Philosophy in Moscow, where she also began her career as a cell painter and short animation director. Her award-winning films have traveled the world through countless film festivals. Signe has initiated and curated numbers of independent animation programs and is in the organizing core of Square Footage Films. She is also a programming adviser for several film festivals, including the Florida Film Festival, Red Bank International Film Festival, Woodstock Film Festival.

Tammy Tiehel-Stedman

Tammy Tiehel-Stedman is a Philadelphia native with a BA from Washington College in Chestertown, MD and a MFA from the American Film Institute in Los Angeles, CA. She has production managed over 100 hours of daytime programming and produced 8 hours of documentary programming for the Discovery Channel and TLC. Tammy's films have won top honors at many prestigious film festivals around the world, and in 2000, her film “My Mother Dreams the Satan's Disciples in New York,” won, among others, the Oscar for Best Short Film - Live Action. Tammy founded her own production company, Ridley Park Pictures, in 2003.
