What to Expect at Launch:
Out of respect for the upscale venue (this is not some run-of-the-mill bowling alley!) and fellow professionals, dress for success or “neat casual”. Several of our industry judges will be present.
As you enter, a volunteer will ask you “what type of artist you are”. Everyone in the room is there to help each other. There are NO RULES against being on multiple teams, so network away! This is truly more of a community than a competition. If you’re feeling shy or lost, talk to Susie Filmmaker so she can introduce you around(here’s a picture of her so you can find her). Throughout the evening, Susie will also give select brave attendees an opportunity to pitch themselves to the room.
Attendees can win raffle off goodies & door-prizes all night. Members get special Member’s only raffles, too, and some of our booth sponsors will have free stuff, just for you. Some folks have also been known to start impromptu bowling tournaments as Team-building exercises (and some hilarious photo ops).
At 5:30 pm, all networking will stop so we can go over rules, guidelines & tips. We will announce the “Secret Element” at 6 pm EDT. The Element will simultaneously deploy to our social media, website, and team leaders. You’re then welcomed to stick around and brainstorm or run home to start production on your films.
