Those of you that have been with us since the beginning have seen many incarnations of Project Twenty1′s News page. As we continue our rapid expansion in 2009, and with the addition of so many new events and so many awesome dedicated Staff members, we realized our old News pages was no longer cutting it.
In January, we added the new Facebook NetworkedBlogs app, and we’ve quickly grown to be one of the top blogs in the Philly area. (Thanks everyone!) Many of you now see us in your news feeds on Facebook, an amazing and wonderful way we can now keep you up to date. If you’re on there, please invite some of your cooler, more artistic friends to follow us as well… there’s a lot of news around the corner that filmmakers, writers, editors, musicians, and other artists will be VERY excited about!
Likewise, our website’s News page now boasts a social feed, including not only our News updates, but people’s Facebook and Twitter posts about us as well. So talk away! You’re on our website. Just please… be gentle.
As we gear up to begin accepting submissions to the 2009 Filmathon and Team Signups for the 21-Day Filmmaking Competition, we wanted to make sure our Staff was able to make their voices heard and introduce themselves to our community as well! Some of you have met Mel, Rudy, Nicole, Na’imah, Sean, Amanda, Ian, or Steve at various events since our last festival in October, but we want to make sure that it’s clear Project Twenty1 isn’t just pulled off by two people.
That said, we have introduced this new blog for our News updates/newsletters, and it will serve as a general blog and way for you to get to know the faces behind the festival as well as we’re getting to know all of you through your art.
It is also much prettier, and is way easier to use, so expect more frequent posts from us starting immediately!
Likewise, we are all about building a creative community, so please feel free to leave us feedback, comments, questions, and suggestions on anything we post here. We live for it, and we love hearing from you!
Enjoy meeting our Team in the coming months. By the time the Competition’s Launch Event rolls around this August, you’ll know us all well.
