We’re back! Due to an error on the part of our web host, our site has been offline for nearly a week! While we’ve been working diligently to fix it through many nagging phonecalls, e-mails,  and badly singing telegrams, but we only managed to break through the many layers of red tape LAST NIGHT! We feel that we still owe you all an apology, ESPECIALLY those of you looking to sign up for our 21-Day Competition, so….

APOLOGY COUPON: 7 DAYS ONLY

To make up for our week-long absence, we are offering a week-long apology! For any of you seeking to sign up as a team or this year’s 21-Day Filmmaking Competition, here’s a secret coupon code: “EPICFAIL“. Use this code at checkout and you will get $15 off your Entry Fee for the next 7 days.

This year we have Signups from 10 states across the U.S. as well as teams competing from the UK, Canada, and Hong Kong! The coupon code EPICFAIL ends June 15th, and Standard Deadline for singups ends June 21st, so quit procrastinating and join us for the most fun you’ll have all year!

ALL films completed by the August 21st deadline receive their World Premieres at the International House’s 350-seat Ibrahim Theater in Philadelphia as a part of P21Fest 2010. You will also compete for awards and prizes, including inclusion on the 2010 Project Twenty1 DVD, acceptance to IMDB, and submission to over a dozen other festivals nationwide on your behalf! 21-Day Films have been screened in over 20 other festivals through our Festival Partners.

For more info or to sign up, see our 21-Day Competition pages.

New 21-Day Competition Prize from GlideCam!

We’d like to welcome back our partner from 2009, Glidecam! The difference in 2010? This year, the winner of Best Film of the 21-Day Filmmaking Competition will receive a Glidecam 4000 Pro as a part of their Grand Prize package! The Glidecam 4000 Pro is a hand-held camcorder stabilizing system designed for cameras weighing from 4 to 10 pounds, so it’s perfect for cameras like the HVX-200 and the Canon XL-2.

Standard Deadline: Philadelphia Filmathon

Okay, maybe you’ve already done the hard part, and made a film already. You just aren’t sure where to send it? Well, we can help you there too. Our call-for-entries is also open for the Philadelphia Filmathon! We accept all films, short form and feature, narrative, documentary, experimental, music video, you name it, and you will not find a better value for your entry fee ANYWHERE, we promise. How so, you ask?

We’re an IMDB-qualifying festival! Submit to us through WAB, your film gets its own imdb page. That simple!

Low Entry Fees: Until June 21st, Standard Entry is just $35 for features, $25 for shorts, and $20 for students. (And even cheaper for WAB members!)

Great Prizes: Winners of Best Short Film and Best Feature Film will win prizes from Sony Creative Software, Final Draft, and QuickFilmBudget, among others. Click here for full prize details. We’re updating it weekly with new stuff!

Our Film Library. Submit ANY project, short film, feature, animation, live-action, music video, whatever, to the 2010 Filmathon, and you have the option to enter it into our Film Library, which gives us the ability to submit it on your behalf to our partner organizations, screenings, and festivals, saving you time & money and possibly qualifying you for tons of awards and prizes indefinitely. This month alone, five films from our Library will be screening at the Bronzeville Film Festival in Chicago thanks to this program. Just consider us your non-exclusive agents!

or download our Submission Form.

Need more reasons to submit or sign up as a Team in 2010?  How about…..

New Prizes from Final Draft for P21Fest!

In 2010, Project Twenty1 is excited to have a new partner in Final Draft, Inc! This year, the winners of Best Feature Film AND Best Short Film in the Philadelphia Filmathon, as well as the winner of Best Film in the 21-Day Filmmaking Competition will each receive a copy of Final Draft 8! Final Draft is the number-one selling application specifically designed for writing movie scripts, television episodics, and stageplays. It combines powerful word processing with professional script formatting in one self-contained, easy-to-use package. It truly is an industry standard, and if you haven’t used it before, you’ll be amazed how easy it makes your life.

Growing Up!

If you have been watching our (poorly shot but very silly) Podcasts, you would know that we’ve officially moved from a tiny basement home-office to a large office on the corner of East Main and Dekalb Street in Norristown, Pennsylvania. After launching a brand new arts district this April alongside the Philadelphia Cultural Alliance, Theater Horizon, Iron Age Theater, and dozens of other arts & culture organizations in the area, we decided to move to the center of the new Norristown Arts Hill to continue the momentum.

Our new expanded space has allowed us to expand our Educational Program, and as a result, we are in dire need of furniture, office supplies, and computers THIS WEEK! For specific items, please check out Online Wishlist. See something in the list? Call us at 215-253-7640.

We are also currently seeking a volunteer to spearhead in-kind donations, be it through scouting the local freecycle posts or contacting local businesses about in-kind furniture and office supply donation. Every hand counts!

Sincerely,

Stephanie Yuhas, Executive Producer
Matt Conant, Artistic Director
& All the Susie Filmmakers
