PROJECT TWENTY1 – NOT JUST A FILM FESTIVAL

NEWSLETTER  October 14th, 2007

Exciting news, everybody! For those who have forgotten, our 2008 Film-A-Thon Call for Entries is still open, and the Regular Deadline is approaching quickly (this Monday, Oct. 15th)! But now there’s even more reasons to enter: three beautiful new prizes!
NEW FILM-A-THON PRIZES! THANKS, TOONBOOM!
In addition to the coverted “Project Twenty1 Trophy”, we’re now able to offer prizes totaling nearly $1500 for the best films of the 2008 Project Twenty1 Film-A-Thon! Our sponsor ToonBoom Animation is generously donating a copy of their ToonBoom Storyboard Pro software to the Winner of the title “Best Film”! This software (which normally retails for $899.99) is the perfect pre-visualization tool for both live-action filmmakers and animators, so we’re especially excited about this partnership. Beyond this, they have also agreed to donate two copies of their standard ToonBoom Storyboard software (each a $250 value) for our two Honorable Mentions. So, that said, what have you go to lose? Entry Fee is still just $35 until Monday, so postmark those films and get them to us ASAP! We’re still accepting any and every type of film, any length, any genre. Go here to download a Submission Form and get started now! For more information on the 2008 Film-A-Thon, check out our FAQ.
INTERNATIONAL HOUSE PARTNERSHIP
For those of you who have contacted us regarding sponsorships, we are pleased to announce that it has just become all the more advantageous for you to get involved!
International House Philadelphia, an independent 501 (c) 3 organization, and our host for both Project Twenty1 2006 and the upcoming 2008 Project Twenty1 Film Competition (June-August ‘08), has become a fiscal partner of Project Twenty1, LLC. What does this mean? Well, if, upon perusal of our sponsorship levels and benefits, you decide that your organization wishes to take advantage of the marketing opportunities provided by affiliation with Project Twenty1, or else if you simply wish to contribute to support the cause of independent film, your financial sponsorship or donation would be 100% tax-deductible as a charitable contribution. Simply make your checks out to International House (but mail them to us), and we will see that they pass your sponsorship through to us here at Project Twenty1. Contact us for an updated copy of our sponsorship package!
International House is the leading venue in Philadelphia for repertory film programming, independent premieres and cutting edge, avant-garde cinema from around the world, and thus is a perfect match for the mission of Project Twenty1. For more information on International House, please visit: www.ihousephilly.org. Special thanks to Jesse Pires and Renae Dinerman for making this happen.
