The Secret Element – 2014

The moment you’ve all been waiting for, the Secret Element is…

DISCONNECT

Wait, what? The noun? The verb? The noun?  What’s a transitive verb, anyhow? Don’t ask us! That part is up to you.

All Teams must write, shoot, edit, and/or animate a film that incorporates the Element “Disconnect” within the next 21 days. Judges will be instructed to evaluate films as a whole, but place more emphasis on those with creative incorporation of the Element. The better incorporated the Element, the better chances your film has to win “Best Film”.

So, Teams, just ask yourself a few questions:

What does “disconnect” mean to you?  What definition will you use?
Or do you want to invent a whole new definition of it?
We’ll find out 21 days from now.

Official Teams, you can drop off films in person before 4:00 pm, September 20th, to be eligible for awards at The Drop Event, Harvest, 200 South 40th Street, Philadelphia, PA 19104 Doors open at 2:00 pm.

-and/or-

Snail-mail films to 107 East Main Street, Suite LL1, Norristown, PA 19401. Films must be postmarked by 4:00 pm or earlier on September 20th.

-and/or-

Use an online filesharing service like SendSpace.com, FileDropper.com or WeTransfer.com to upload your file, and EMAIL US THE DOWNLOAD LINK BEFORE THE DEADLINE. Note: whatever site you use, we must be able to confirm via a timestamped E-MAIL confirmation of transfer. For this reason, we no longer allow DropBox.

YOU MUST READ ALL OFFICIAL RULES AND HAND IN ALL OF YOUR OFFICIAL FILM, FORMS & WAIVERS BY 4:00 pm SEPT 20th OR YOU WILL BE DISQUALIFIED!
