Project Twenty1 submitted our top films from 2008 to No Festival Required, a very cool series of screenings (and one of our Festival Partners) based in Phoenix AZ. And in another example of our filmmakers receiving their due recognition, 2008 21-Day winner “Leon & The Wolf” has been selected to screen as a part of No Festival Required’s “Spring Fling Shorts Show” May 2nd!

In the words of Steve Weiss, NFR’s founder: “I very rarely find works strong enough from a “challenge” competition to screen, but the brilliant camera work, subtle acting (well, some ;-)), and wonderful knock-out ending will floor my crowd.”

Congratulations to Team Cold City and Director Andrew Kerekes!

No Festival Required ended a monthly screening of submitted shorts show in December 2007 after 50 screenings and over 600 shorts screened. With the volume of wonderful shorts coming to NFR, we’ve decided to put on a “one-off” Spring screening, and as always offer thoughtful and provocative cinema from local, national and international directors.

The travails of a city girl’s job search, a truly bizarre re-creation story, the last job of a hit-man and more, these shorts will delight, amaze and astonish. And maybe make you think.
