PROJECT TWENTY1 FILM FESTIVAL
NEWSLETTER December 22, 2006
Happy Holidays, everyone! The Project Twenty1 Team decided we would send out one last newsletter this year to thank everyone for making our inaugural year such a success and to keep you abreast of what we have in store for you in 2007.

AWARDS

A lot of you are asking us “Who won?” Simple a question as it may seem, the answer is: We don’t know yet! In the first week of January, we will be announcing which films will be screened at the “Best of Project Twenty1” screening, to take place January 24th at International House. Simultaneously, we will also be announcing the long-awaited Nominees in each Award category, from Best Writing to Best Soundtrack, and of course, Best Film. Keep in mind only those deemed “Best of Project Twenty1” by our Judges and Audience will be screening! To see all 17 films, you’ll have to wait for the Official DVD release which will occur immediately following the screening at International House. So, fortunately, you won’t have to wait very long!

PROJECT TWENTY1 DVDThe other big news for the month is the ongoing creation of the Official Project Twenty1 2006 DVD, available for pre-order now through our site or at the door of the Awards Screening on January 24th, 2006. This disc contains over 3 hours of material, including all 17 of the films from this year’s competition, as well as a veritable cornucopia of special features provided by our Teams. Thanks to the generosity and devotion of our filmmakers, this will include trailers, bloopers, behind-the-scenes documentaries, director’s cuts, production photos, promotional materials for our Teams’ films, and more! Pre-order now at our Store and save $5 off the retail price, or pick it up on January 24th immediately following the Best of Screening! Project Twenty1 DVD 2006
DOCUMENTARY FEATURES PROJECT TWENTY1For those of you who were at the Screenings on December 4th and 5th, you may have noticed independent filmmaker Gary Hanna vigilantly documenting the event for posterity. Well, it was all for this moment, the release of his official documentary on our humble little festival. Gary did a tremendous job on it with absolutely no input whatsoever from the Project Twenty1 Team, and we are blown away by the end result. Check it out on our homepage, or click here to see what this whole Project Twenty1 thing is all about!
HAPPY HOLIDAYS!Finally, Quang, Stephanie and Matt want to wish all of you who have followed us through our struggles and triumphs these last three months a very happy and healthy holiday season. Although we are admittedly workaholics, we are looking forward to a relaxing holiday at home with our families and friends before jumping back into the fray late next week. Thank you all so much… because of you 2006 has proven to be a wonderful kick-off to something great for the independent filmmaking community. Happy Holidays from Project Twenty1! See you in `07!

Sincerely,
Quang, Stephanie, & Matt
