We are now in the final days of Signups and Submissions for our 2008 Festival, and already have 19 Teams signed up for this year’s 21-Day Competition! Because we’ve had so many questions about it, we feel obligated to remind people…
FILMMAKING COMPETITION DEADLINE IS MONDAY!
The Late Deadline for the 21-Day Filmmaking Competition Team Signups is this coming Monday, June 30th! This year’s Competition will Launch on Saturday, July 19th, when we will announce the secret “Element” that each film must include, and your completed films will be due on or before the Drop Event, which will be held on Saturday, August 9th. All finished films submitted on time that follow the simple, but important Rules will be screened the weekend of October 4th & 5th, 2008, and will compete for the honors of Best Film, as well as nearly a dozen other categories! You also get 5 FREE PASSES to the screenings of your choice just for signing up!
Remember, once you sign up, you still have until July 19th to gather your cast and crew, get some locations set up, and maybe, just maybe, think of a couple of ideas you can turn into scripts once the Launch Event arrives. That way, all you’ll need on the 19th is the Secret Element and you’ll be off and running!

FILM-A-THON DEADLINE ALSO MONDAY!
Maybe you just don’t have the time to maker a new film from scratch this summer. But, as an experienced filmmaker, you have a completed film ready to show to the world. Or maybe the world is already getting to know it, but Philadelphians still haven’t seen it? Submit it to the 2008 Philadelphia Film-A-Thon! Remember, the Deadline for the Film-A-Thon is also this Monday, June 30th, so hurry and submit now! We accept shorts and features of all genres and styles, live-action and animation, and look for the true gems of indie film that the mass public may not yet have heard about. JULY 19th LAUNCH EVENT & NETWORKING PARTY!
This year’s Competition Launch Event on July 19th, as well as being the setting where we announce this year’s Element, is shaping up to be a major film networking event as well. Why? In 2006, several musicians were hired onto Teams on the spot, and since then, so many writers, musicians, and actors have come to us asking for help finding filmmakers, that on your behalf, we’ve been telling talent to come to YOU. All you filmmakers and animators planning to attend the Launch Event should not be disappointed… there will be literally dozens of talented artists, actors, writers, animators, crew members, and musicians there to meet YOU. So if, at the beginning of the Launch Event, your Team isn’t yet 100% in place… it will be by the time you leave. And for those of you out-of-towners, not to worry:

Check out ProjectTwenty1.com’s Message Board and see all the talent that has been posting music and headshots, and offering help to our filmmakers. Several musicians have made their music available SOLELY FOR YOU, the Project Twenty1 filmmaker, so go listen, and who knows, maybe one of those tracks will become your film’s theme music this summer!
